The Nigerian Senate has passed two amendment bills seeking to revise the establishment laws of the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Item, Bende, and the Federal College of Education, Bende, in Abia State.

The bills were approved at the third reading after being presented to the Senate for concurrence and completing the required legislative stages.

Both bills were sponsored by the Senate Leader, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, who represents Ekiti Central Senatorial District.
