The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has unveiled Hon. Chinazam Ike as its vice-presidential candidate for the 2027 general election, completing the party’s presidential ticket ahead of the polls.

The announcement was made on Tuesday during a ceremony in Abuja, where the party presented Ike as the running mate to its presidential candidate, Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas.

Speaking at the event, Abbas described Ike as an experienced politician and grassroots mobiliser whose leadership qualities align with the party’s vision for national development. He said the choice reflects the ADP’s commitment to competence, inclusiveness and unity.

The presidential candidate outlined the party’s priorities, promising to address Nigeria’s economic challenges, improve security, create employment opportunities and strengthen transparency and accountability in government if elected.

Abbas also appealed to Nigerians to support the ADP, saying the party is offering practical solutions to the country’s pressing challenges through responsible and people-focused leadership.

In his acceptance speech, Ike expressed appreciation to the party leadership and the presidential candidate for the confidence reposed in him.

He pledged to work alongside Abbas to build a more united, secure and prosperous Nigeria, promising that the party would campaign on issues that directly affect the lives and welfare of Nigerians.

Ike also urged voters to look beyond ethnic, religious and regional considerations in the 2027 elections and instead support candidates based on competence, vision and the ability to deliver effective governance.

Party leaders at the unveiling expressed confidence that the Bin Abbas-Ike ticket would provide credible leadership and present Nigerians with an alternative choice in the 2027 presidential election.
