Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, joined Dangote Group President Aliko Dangote in New York on Tuesday as the conglomerate stepped up its international promotional campaign for the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Initial Public Offering (IPO).

The singer and the billionaire businessman were pictured at Times Square in front of a large Nasdaq digital billboard displaying the message, “Made in Nigeria. Built for the World.”

The appearance is part of the publicity campaign surrounding the refinery’s ongoing public share offering, which is aimed at attracting investors and highlighting the scale of the Nigerian-owned project on the international stage.

The Dangote Refinery IPO opened on September 14, 2026, and is scheduled to close on October 13, 2026.

Under the offer, 4.1 billion ordinary shares are being made available to investors at ₦525 per share, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares.

If fully subscribed, the offering is expected to raise approximately ₦2.15 trillion.

The public offer is intended to broaden ownership of the refinery by giving Nigerian and African retail and institutional investors an opportunity to acquire shares in the company.

The Times Square display comes as Dangote Refinery continues efforts to position itself as a major player in Nigeria’s petroleum industry and to attract wider investor interest in its next phase of growth.
