Inspector General of Police Tunji Disu has appointed Dr. Nicholas Enubuzor as Principal Consultant to the Inspector General and the Nigeria Police Force, to champion the establishment and operations of the Nigeria Police Force Television, the Force’s new broadcast arm.

Dr. Enubuzor is responsible for the establishment, launch, development, training, technical support and operation of the nigeria police force television network, which will give the Force a broadcast voice of its own.

“A police force earns trust by showing its work, openly and honestly,” Mr. Disu said on Friday. “I know NPFTV will tell the story of our officers and heroes, our operations and our new policing standards in our own voice under your leadership.”

Dr. Enubuzor said he accepted the appointment with dedication and a commitment to selfless service. NPFTV, he said, will be credible, disciplined and in true service of the Nigerian public.

“Through professional production, trained personnel and editorial standards that rank among the best in the world, it will carry the work of the Force to the people it protects,” he said.

Dr. Enubuzor holds a bachelor’s degree in linguistics, with a minor in mass communications, from Delta State University, Abraka, and a master’s degree in security management and strategy from the International Institute for Professional Security Studies (IIPS), Lagos. He is a doctoral fellow at the Institute of Global Peace and Conflict Management and belongs to several international professional institutes in public relations, media, security, and strategic communications.

Until his appointment, he was chief strategist at Legacy Public Relations and Media Consulting, an international media and public relations firm headquartered in Cape Town, with offices in Nairobi, Accra, Lagos and Abuja.
