Carloha Nigeria Expands EV Line-Up With Nationwide Launch of Chery Q

chisom adaeze 2 min read

Carloha Nigeria has strengthened its push for electric mobility in the country with the nationwide introduction of the Chery Q, as competition and investment in Nigeria’s emerging electric vehicle market continue to grow.

The company, which assembles and distributes Chery vehicles, said the new electric model is now available to customers across Nigeria.

The Chery Q comes with Carloha’s 6-6-7 aftersales package, which includes a six-year vehicle warranty, six years of scheduled maintenance at no cost up to 120,000 kilometres, and a seven-day commitment for repairs.

Under the service arrangement, customers will be provided with a replacement vehicle if their car cannot be repaired within the stipulated seven-day period.

Carloha Nigeria’s General Manager, Marketing, Felix Mahan, said the launch was part of the company’s efforts to make electric vehicles more accessible to Nigerian consumers.

He said the Chery Q fulfilled the company’s plan to introduce additional electric models into the Nigerian market and provide motorists with access to more sustainable mobility options.

According to Mahan, the vehicle combines modern design with technology, passenger space, safety features, electric driving range and fast-charging capability.

He added that Carloha was placing significant emphasis on aftersales services because access to reliable maintenance and repair support remains an important consideration for consumers exploring electric vehicles.

The company said its CarlohaCare 6-6-7 and CarlohaCare 6-6-7 Rescue programmes were designed to give customers additional support throughout their ownership of the vehicle.

The launch comes as Nigeria’s automotive industry gradually records an increase in electric and other alternative-energy vehicle options.

However, wider EV adoption in the country continues to depend on factors such as vehicle affordability, charging infrastructure, access to maintenance services and consumer confidence in the reliability of electric mobility.
