Taiwo Alao: Nigerian Youngster Joins Atletico Mineiro in Brazil

Nigerian youngster Taiwo Alao has completed a move to Brazilian club Atletico Mineiro, signing a two-year contract with the South American side.

According to Footy-Africa, the talented winger has secured his first move outside Nigeria after attracting attention with his performances in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Alao has earned the nickname “Nigerian Dembele” because of his pace, dribbling ability and confidence when taking on defenders, qualities that have drawn comparisons with French and Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele.

The youngster previously featured for Ikorodu City and Sporting Lagos, gaining valuable experience in the NPFL before making the move to Brazil.

Alao is expected to begin his Atletico Mineiro career with the club’s youth team, where he will continue to develop and adapt to Brazilian football. His performances at the youth level are likely to determine how quickly he can progress towards the senior squad.
