MultiChoice Nigeria has announced that the 11th season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) will premiere on Sunday, July 26, with the eventual winner set to receive a record-breaking grand prize of N160 million.
The announcement was made during a press briefing on Wednesday, where organisers confirmed that the prize is the largest ever offered in the history of the reality television show since it first aired in 2006.
Preparations for the new season began months ago, with physical auditions held between May 22 and 24 in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu. According to the organisers, the audition process was free and open only to applicants aged 21 years and above who presented a valid means of identification.
The new edition follows the success of the 2025 season, which was won by Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi. She emerged victorious over 28 other housemates during the grand finale held on October 5, 2025, claiming a prize package worth N150 million, including N80 million in cash and a sport utility vehicle (SUV).
With the grand prize now increased to N160 million, organisers are raising the stakes for what is expected to be another highly competitive season filled with entertainment, strategy, and drama.
Since its debut, BBNaija has remained one of Africa’s biggest reality television shows, producing several celebrities and entrepreneurs while drawing millions of viewers across the continent.
As the countdown to the July 26 premiere begins, fans are eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the new housemates and the twists expected to define Season 11.
