President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid glowing tribute to billionaire businessman Mike Adenuga as he marked his 73rd birthday, describing him as one of Africa’s most outstanding entrepreneurs whose achievements have left a lasting mark on Nigeria’s economic landscape.

In a goodwill message personally signed in Abuja on Wednesday, the President praised the chairman of Globacom and Conoil for building a business empire that cuts across telecommunications, oil and gas, banking, real estate and other strategic sectors.

Tinubu described Adenuga as “a businessman with the Midas touch,” noting that his remarkable rise from humble beginnings to becoming one of Africa’s wealthiest and most respected business figures reflects resilience, vision and hard work.

According to the President, Adenuga’s success story continues to showcase the immense potential of Nigerian entrepreneurship and serves as a source of inspiration for young Nigerians striving to make an impact in business and innovation.

The President also acknowledged Adenuga’s contributions beyond the corporate world, particularly his support for arts, culture, sports and entertainment. He noted that several cultural festivals and youth-oriented entertainment initiatives have continued to thrive through the businessman’s backing over the years.

Tinubu further commended Adenuga’s humanitarian interventions in education and healthcare, applauding his efforts in improving lives and supporting communities across the country.

“I also laud his many humanitarian endeavours across education and healthcare, and encourage him not to stop giving back to the people,” the President stated.

He prayed for continued good health, wisdom and greater accomplishments for the business mogul in the years ahead.

Widely known as “The Guru” in business circles, Adenuga remains one of the most influential figures in Africa’s private sector, with his companies playing major roles in Nigeria’s economy and job creation efforts.
