Ground Equipment Collision Disrupts Air Peace Operations at Lagos Airport

Flight operations involving Air Peace experienced disruptions on Tuesday after a conveyor belt vehicle belonging to the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) collided with one of the airline’s aircraft at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos.

The incident reportedly occurred during ground handling operations, damaging the aircraft and forcing the airline to adjust its flight schedule.

Air Peace confirmed the development, apologising to passengers for the delays and assuring them that safety remains its highest priority.

The airline said engineers are assessing the aircraft while efforts are underway to minimise disruptions to scheduled flights.

The incident adds to recent operational challenges facing domestic airlines, highlighting the importance of strict adherence to safety procedures during airport ground handling activities.
