Published by The Banker, one of the world’s leading financial publications, the Top 1000 World Banks Rankings assess financial institutions based on their financial strength, operational efficiency, risk management, liquidity, growth, and profitability.

The recognition comes as Nigerian banks continue to strengthen their capital base, improve operational efficiency, and adapt to evolving regulatory requirements in an increasingly competitive financial environment.

Reacting to the achievement, Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank Limited, Mrs. Miriam Olusanya, described the ranking as a reflection of the bank’s disciplined strategy and commitment to delivering value to customers.

She credited the recognition to the dedication of GTBank’s employees, the trust of its customers, and the strength of the wider GTCO Group.

According to Olusanya, emerging as Nigeria’s top-performing bank while leading in the Efficiency and Soundness categories demonstrates the bank’s disciplined execution, strong group synergies, and focus on creating sustainable value for stakeholders.

She added that the recognition would further motivate the bank to continue improving customer experience and maintaining high standards across its operations.

GTBank said the latest ranking reflects the strength of its business model, sustained investment in innovation, and a long-term strategy focused on growth, customer satisfaction, and value creation for shareholders and the communities it serves.
